Cape Cormorant (Phalacrocorax capensis)

The most common Cormorant along the coast in the region of Southern Africa, breeds from the South-west coast of South Africa up to the North of Namibia. Adult is glossy bluish black, immature is brownish. The Cape Cormorant commonly forages in flocks feeding on anchovy and sardineshoals.
