Cape Foxes (1) (Vulpes chama)

Picture of this lovely family taken on an early morning near Kgalagadi tented camp. One of the cubs didn't like the offered mouse.
The Cape Fox is a small fox with large pointed ears and a bushy tail. Its mainly nocturnal and generally lives solitary.
Length: 85-100cm
Mass: 2.5- 4 kg.
Food: mice and insects, small mammals, eggs, reptiles, carrion, fruit and green grass.
Habitat: open grassland, in the drier parts of southern Africa
