Whitefronted Bee-eater (Merops bullockoides)

The Whitefronted Bee-eater is quite common in eastern parts of Southern Africa (mostly lowveld)
Appears very green In flight. Square end tail, undertail blue, red and white throat and white forehead.
Hunts insects sitting from a perch with short flights returns with prey to the same perch. Killing the prey by hitting it against the perch.
Nests in colonies (sometimes large) in steep sandy cliffs near slow moving rivers.
